Trusted circles.
Private, secure messaging for family and friends is the goal. We’re designing trusted circles and simple check-ins with clear delivery status, subject to security review on the actual device.

NOW WHAT?
BeReady by UKPrepKit.
DEDICATED OFF-GRID MESSAGING.NO INTERNET REQUIRED.
Keep your conversations off the internet. We’re designing a dedicated handheld for private messaging with your people and separate conversations nearby. Privacy first, with no mobile network needed for the intended off-grid mode. Compatible participating devices must be within reach.
YOUR PEOPLE. YOUR MESSAGES. PRIVACY FIRST.
When the Wi-Fi stops.
When the signal disappears.
Have a plan beyond your phone.

YOUR PEOPLE.
YOUR NEARBY COMMUNITY.
Two equally important ways to connect.
One intended home for both.
Nearby conversations.
A separate, equally visible space for participating people around you. Explore local coordination without mixing public chat with your private circle.
A dedicated device.
A physical keyboard.
Our first case design is based on LILYGO’s T-Deck Plus hardware. We’re exploring a handheld you can keep with your preparedness kit, with a screen, keyboard and trackball. Radio choice, software integration, real-world range and battery life still need validation.
BEFORE YOU ASK.
How do I register pre-order interest?
Sign up below the video to register your interest. No payment is taken and this does not place a binding order. We’ll share availability and pre-order details when ready. There is no confirmed price or shipping date.
Is the video a demo?
Yes. It’s a demo of the intended UKPrepKit experience, using concept artwork and animated messages. The physical prototype is still in development; the video is not a live hardware test.
Will it work without internet?
Off-grid communication is the core design goal. It depends on compatible participating devices within reach and the final radio and software implementation. We have not verified standalone hardware delivery or mesh relaying, and we cannot promise coverage.
Will it run Bitchat or connect to Meshtastic?
Our native app work builds on Bitchat. Running UKPrepKit on the T-Deck Plus needs separate firmware and integration work. Compatibility with Bitchat or Meshtastic is not yet confirmed.
Does it contact emergency services or use satellites?
No emergency-service dispatch or satellite messaging is implemented. This project is not a substitute for emergency communications. Any future location or assistance feature will need its own testing and clear limits.
How private will it be?
Privacy and security come first in the design. The goal is to keep private messages off internet services and separate from public nearby chat. Off-grid does not mean untraceable: radio signals can be detected, and encryption and privacy still need testing on the actual device. We do not promise anonymity or that the device cannot be tracked.
